Adoptable Georgia Dogs for January 27, 2014

This yellow Lab female is our top rescue priority today. She was found stray in Cobb County this weekend and taken in temporarily but cannot stay where she is. She was micro-chipped, but the contact information associated with the chip led to dead ends. Please email me immediately if you have an opening to foster or adopt this sweet girl.

Mingy is a sweet five-year old female dog who is of mixed English Bulldog and American Bulldog heritage. Mingy is available for adoption from Orphan Annie Rescue in Atlanta, Ga.

The British Consulate General in Atlanta is currently running a photography contest, the winner of which will be used as the cover photo for the UK Atlanta consultate’s Facebook page. Entries are due by February 28th. They’re looking for a photo that “represents the unique cultural and trade relationship between the UK and Southeast US.” Here’s a pro-tip: include an English Bulldog in your photo submission for the “awwww!” factor.

Jazzy is a female English Bulldog who is fun and playful and loves people and playing with her toys. She is currently undergoing heartworm treatments and is available for adoption from Atlanta Pet Rescue and Adoption, Inc. in Smyrna, Ga. Bart is a male English Bulldog who comes from a domestic violence situation in which he bit a male human (barely) who was abusing a female. Damn Good Dog – he deserves a medal and a safe home for that. He’s looking for a new home without any drama. He’s fun and happy, but will require some training and would work best as an only dog or with a mellow brother or sister.
