Adoptable Georgia Dogs for October 24, 2013

Peanut is a beautiful little 5-6 week old brindle-and-white mixed breed puppy who is developing an issue with her front paw, which “knuckles under”. She is in urgent need of an adoptive or foster home and immediate veterinary attention. She’s available for adoption from the Barrow County Animal Shelter. Stan was rescued from a high facility in Liberty County. He is a cute and funny Terrier Mix and weighs around 30 pounds. He has a very playful and sweet personality, loves his toys. Stan doesn’t know a stranger and is good with other dogs. He is about 18 months old and tested heartworm positive back in April, was neutered and heartworm treated and is now current on heartworm prevention. He is available for adoption from Carpathia Paws in Hinesville, Ga.

Jonah loves America and Freedom. Jonah appears to be a Hound/Heeler mix and is a very sweet boy. He is about 10 months old and was found limping down a road in our county. He was surrendered to Carpathia Paws who had an x-ray done; its an old break of his left front leg which is healing great and he will not need any follow up care. He tested Heartworm negative and is utd with his vaccines, heartworm and flea prevention and neutered. He is good with other dogs. Doing ok with cats, curious but no aggression.
