Cherokee School District Boasts Second-Best SAT Scores in Georgia – Schools – Canton-Sixes, GA Patch

The Cherokee County School District has announced that the Class of 2013 has posted the highest average SAT score in the metro Atlanta area, according to data released Thursday by the Georgia Department of Education and the College Board.

Both the Cherokee County School District and the Fulton County School System tied for the top score in the metro Atlanta area, with a total aggregate score of 1567.

In recent years, the SAT has transitioned from the familiar 1600-point scale to a 2400-point scale; the average score for both districts in the old scoring system would be around a 1045.
