ATLANTA — Channel 2’s political reporter Lori Geary sat down with Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., and chairwoman of the Democratic National Convention, who was in town Tuesday to raise money for the National and State Democratic parties, telling Geary she considers Georgia in play for Democrats next year and she’s here to prove it.

Wasserman Schultz said Michelle Nunn would make a great Democratic nominee in the U.S. Senate race, calling her a moderate and describing her as pragmatic.

Geary also asked Wasserman Schultz to weigh in on UPS’ recent decision to exclude working spouses from heath care coverage, due in part to the Affordable Care Act.
