Georgia Adoptable Dogs for June 6, 2013

All dogs at the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter are urgent beginning on the date they become available for adoption. This time of year sees a rapid influx of dogs and cats at many shelters, leading inevitably to healthy animals being euthanized to make space. Just saying that makes me feel dirty.

This young male Yorkshire Terrier is friendly and available for adoption from Gwinnett County Animal Shelter beginning Monday, June 10, 2013. This little female Spitz will be available for adoption from the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter beginning Monday, June 10, 2013. This little adult male Doxie is missing part of his lower jaw, which makes his bark a little hoarse. He’s available for adoption beginning tomorrow, June 7, 2013, from Gwinnett County Animal Shelter.

Lou is a 4-month old, 14-pound Beagle puppy who is available for adoption from Walton County Animal Shelter. He loves people and other dogs and is very friendly and playful. Anchovy (left, male) and Animal (right, male) are two of the six Shepherd mix puppies who are available for adoption from Walton County Animal Shelter. A total of eight from their litter were dumped at a stranger’s house and two have been rescued already.

Patrick (above and below) is a young adoptable Terrier mix who is available for adoption from the Tifton-Tift County Animal Shelter. For $65.00 he comes vetted, which is a great bargain on your new best friend.
