U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., received a Conservation Service Award on Wednesday from the Georgia Wildlife Federation, the state’s oldest and largest conservation organization, and its national partner the Wildlife Federation for his leadership in promoting natural resource conservation in the Farm Bill.
Todd Holbrook, president and CEO, presented the award to the senator at his Washington office, according to a Wildlife Federation news release. Holbrook praised Chambliss’s leadership in the floor debate over the Farm Bill last year, when Chambliss successfully sponsored an amendment to restore natural resource protections to crop insurance premium subsidies.
