The Cherokee County Farm Bureau received the Georgia Farm Bureau Outstanding Legislative Program Award during the organization’s 76th annual convention, which convened Dec. 8 to 10 on Jekyll Island.
The committee competed against committees from nine other districts for the state honor. CCFB Vice President Len Cagle chairs the committee.
CCFB will receive one paid trip for the 2014 Georgia Farm Bureau Presidents Trip to Washington, D.C., for winning the state award. William Grizzle is president of the CCFB.
