Sweet Cheeto was picked up as a stray and brought to the shelter. Really friendly, playful, funny girl who is 4-5 years old, current with her vaccinations and dewormed. She is heartworm positive and does receive monthly heartworm prevention. She enjoys toys, is good with other dogs and kids.

Sirius is a 9 year old Male Aussie mix, weighs 40-45 lbs., current with vaccinations, neutered and we will microchip him. He is heartworm positive and has started on treatment. He is a friendly boy, housetrained, is food possessive, so may need to be the only dog in the home. He has been exposed to children, but they have been a little older, so maybe no smaller children.

Taco Tuesday is an adult male mixed breed dog who is available for adoption from Athenspets in Athens, GA.

Taco Tuesday and Ravioli are big, friendly boys. They’re calm dogs who like being together and don’t mind waiting their turn for treats and pets. They both sit and lie down for treats, and Taco played a few rounds of fetch. Ravioli decided it was too hot for running, and he’d rather just watch Taco play.

I never felt overwhelmed with these guys even though Taco weighs 70 pounds and Ravioli weighs 94 pounds. They’re well-behaved, good dogs. I walked them back to their kennel individually, and they were fine on a leash even when other dogs were barking at them. Taco has a few raw places on his back probably from scratching, but now that he’s getting flea treatment, that should clear up. I enjoyed being with these sweet new friends.

Sadly, Rampage is back. He’s still a pup with puppy behavior that includes being a little mouthy and chewing on things he shouldn’t. But also like a pup, he’s playful and loves being with people. I love Rampage and we have a lot of fun. Whenever I take him out, he heads for a toy. He likes to roll around with it, and I’ll throw another one, and he’s off to get it, too. Playtime wears him out and he’s ready to put his head on my lap and be loved on. If Rampage gets mouthy like pups sometimes do, I correct him, and it’s not a problem. He’s a smart boy and can learn what’s appropriate for chewing/mouthing. I hope he finds a new home with a family that can work with him through the puppy stage giving him guidance, time for play, and lots of love.

Rampage is so much fun! As soon as he entered the interaction pen, he spied a toy and immediately began playing with it. He let me have it to throw and was so entertaining. He’s still a pup and a little clumsy as he ran with his toy, dropped it, and accidentally kicked it away when he tried to pick it up again. He’d also roll around on the turf with it having a great time. Rampage will sit for treats or sit and wait for his toy to be thrown again. He was adopted from the shelter as a younger pup, and it’s time he found a forever family. He’s a sweet, happy boy with lots of joy to share!

Biscuit is a senior male mixed breed dog who is available for adoption from Athenspets in Athens, GA.

Biscuit is a sweet cutie. She’s blind but doesn’t let that keep her from meeting new friends. She was happy for me to carry her outside and liked exploring a bit. She may be able to see shapes/some things because she found the water bucket and returned to it when she wanted water, but she also bumped into the fence and bench. If she ever felt lost, she’d sit down and bark a few times, and I’d pick her up and take her back to a blanket or hold her for a while. She’s a nice dog, and if she’s not reclaimed, I bet she can learn to get around in a new home.

Amsterdam gave me a big smile when I stopped at her kennel. She’s a friendly girl and didn’t hesitate to walk with me. Once we reached the interaction pen, she gave me a hug and enjoyed pets. Amsterdam liked staying close and loved sitting for treats. She’s a sweet, happy cutie with brown speckles on her white coat and a splash of brown on and around one ear.

Hi my name is Olive, if you see me you’ll understand why I’ve got my name. I’m a very slender girl as I am a bird dog bully mix or maybe bird dog lab mix, they’re not really sure! I love to keep my nose to the ground and I love to run, I am very fast, I have long legs and I’m very playful! I love everybody & I get along with most dogs. However I don’t like female dogs that try to dominate me or show dominance over me, but I think that’s normal for most.

I like children & I like being shown love and affection! I will chase a ball though I’m not the best at bringing it back. I love running, it’s my favorite when the employees here at the rescue play and run with me in the yard! I am very fast – I have a huge yard that I play in here so that helps me to burn my energy. I’m great in a crate and I love my bed in the crate. The crate is a place of safety for me so I’m quiet, however when I’m hungry or I need to go out to go potty I do have a loud bark. I think that’s part of the bird dog in me or at least that’s what I’m told. l am currently nine years old and I have been at the rescue for six years.

Hi, my name is Rosie! I’m a chocolate lab mix. Everybody says I have the softest ears ever, they rub them a lot which I enjoy! I am 10 years old, though I don’t look or act it! Sadly my owner passed away suddenly and I had nowhere else to go. My neighbor who knew me well brought me to this rescue where she had adopted her dog from. I have enjoyed living here, they’re good to me. We have play yards to run in & they show us a lot of love & attention. Sadly though I’m still looking for my own family – that’s what I’m used to. I did have a friend that I lived with, he was a male dog which I miss dearly. I am dog friendly with calm males. I love playing ball, I’m a great retriever and I love cuddles. I am crate trained and house broken. I will bark when I need to go outside and I will bark whenever I see you making my food bowl as I love food. I’m great on a leash, I’m learning to get used to car rides.

Hi, my name is Jane I came to this rescue many years ago as a young puppy well about 6 to 8 months old. I was here for about two years when I was adopted by a wonderful gentleman so it was just me and him for the last seven years, he put me in boarding at my vet (where I really loved everybody they had been good to me over the seven years) to go to the hospital for a simple surgery…sadly 30 days later was when the vet found out that he had passed. I was sent to animal control & luckily enough for my microchip I was able to be returned to the rescue that I was familiar with and knew. I missed my owner dearly, I never got to say good bye, I never got to see my home again, it was only supposed to be for 10 days. I did go through a grieving process when I arrived here, but I have come to enjoy being around the people I am familiar with.

However, I miss my home & I miss having my own people, I miss not having to share my attention with others. I’m a friendly girl and get along well with other dogs – well I’m 10 years old so the younger ones not so much, they’re a little high energy for me which I hope you can understand but outside of that I love other dogs! I do best with shy or laid back dogs, not dominant ones. I love children, I love people in general, I just miss having my own home and my own people so I hope you’ll find it in your heart to come meet me I’m in good health to be 10. I don’t act 10, I like to play ball, I like to be silly, I like my belly rubs and just like affection in general so I hope you’ll find it in your heart to schedule a meet and greet and come meet me. I’m a very quiet girl – I only bark when I’m hungry and need to go outside. We also lived in an apartment so l was walked daily so I do love my walks and I’m great on a leash, crate trained and house broken! Love, Jane

Fiji is an adult female Pit Bull Terrier & Labrador Retriever mix who is available for adoption from Peach County Animal Rescue in Marshallville, GA.

Hi, My name is Fiji I am a lab bully mix, sadly all people see in me is bully. I’m a little fearful in my crate when people I don’t know approach me, but once I come out all I want to do is hug them! I am a big hugger! I hope you’ll see that in my pictures that I wrap my front paws around you and literally hug you. I’m appreciative for the people that have been kind to me and showed me nothing but love and compassion.

When I came here as a six month old puppy I had a collar embedded in my neck which the rescue quickly took care of and healed me from. However I do have a scar, it doesn’t prevent me from having a leash put on me or a collar. I love walks and I know what “no pull” means, I know a lot of what the commands mean here and adhere to them. I am a people pleaser and want you to be happy with me! One of my favorite things to do is play ball – I actually sleep with two balls! I guess they give me some sense of security as that was one of the first great happy moments that I had here at the rescue. They’re very good about ensuring that I have my balls outside to play with, as well as my balls in my crate. I do like hiding toys from other dogs it’s kind of funny. Sometimes they find them, sometimes they don’t! If they don’t then I go dig them up and I move them somewhere else, but I do like hiding things. I never forget where things are and I can always go right back to find them.

The rescue offers meet & greets + trial adoptions, you can take me home for two weeks with a small deposit to make sure I’m a good fit. I hope to meet my new family soon and wish someone would give me a chance! Love, Fiji
