Augusta,Ga (WRDW)—After weeks of campaigning and fundraising, Brian Prince has won House District 127. Prince ended up with 56 percent of the vote. Prince had 1443 votes to Diane Evans 1111.

He plans to spend these next few weeks preparing for the General Assembly that starts next year. “I’m great. I’m feeling great. I think the team that we put together was good. We said we wouldn’t stop until the job was done,” said Representative-Elect Brian Prince.

Hugs and handshakes abound after Brian Prince learned, he won the runoff for House District 127. Prince thanked his wife and his supporters for their campaigning and donations.

“I have a lot of supporters outside of 127. I want to thank them for the confidence to take on this responsibility and opportunity to serve,” said Prince.

“I’m excited about what he brings to the delegation. He’s thoughtful and someone who will take the time to look at the issues,” said State Senator Hardie Davis.

Prince’s biggest two obstacles were his competitors, Diane Murphy and Diane Evans. During the Special Election Evans won the majority vote in Jefferson County and Prince won the majority in Richmond County.

Since neither had magic number, the race went to a runoff. “They both were tough. Diane Evans she stepped her game up. We stuck to what we had planned and didn’t stray from it,” said Prince.
