Adoptable (Official) Georgia Dogs for September 9, 2022

The Barrow County Animal Shelter had to euthanize animals to provide space for incoming animals, according to Facebook.

A foster program has been started to help save lives but more foster homes are needed. Adoptions have slowed to a trickle. There are more owner surrenders now than ever. Staff will try to match you with the best fit for your family.

On Saturday, they will host an adoption day with reduced adoption fees.

In an effort to find animals homes, a generous donor has sponsored a portion of all adoption fees. Adoptions on all animals will be $25.

Tractor Supply has invited Barrow County Animal Control to hold a special adoption event at the location in Winder from 12pm-4pm

Diesel is a year-old, 78-pound male mixed breed dog who is available for adoption from the Barrow County Animal Shelter in Winder, GA.

Josh is a lot of fun and will do well with an active owner(s). He is very energetic and eager to play. He is also very talkative. He will need a little help with his manners as he was a little jumpy when treats were involved.

Baloo is a two-year old, 68-pound male mixed breed dog who is available for adoption from the Barrow County Animal Shelter in Winder, GA.

Baloo is looking for his next best friend, he is very sweet and affectionate! He acted like he wanted to play when outside with another male dog.
