Adoptable (Official) Georgia Dogs for May 3, 2022

Layla is an adult female Golden Retriever who is available for adoption from Adopt A Golden Atlanta in Atlanta, GA.

I started out at a shelter and everyone said my adoption would be so easy.  Just to be sure, AGA said if things didn’t work out they would come and get me.  Well, you guessed it!  Two tries did not work out because no one helped me to learn about good behavior and things I should already know!  AGA came and got me and now I feel like I’m on the right path.  So far, I am walking really well with a leash and I know what “heel” means.  I have to work on my manners some more because I sometimes make a “grrrrr” at strangers even though I am sweet to people I know.  I just need some more help with being more polite to people I don’t know.  Thank you for reading about me.  I hope we can get to know each other really soon!  Love from Layla!

Murphy is a year-old, 70-pound male Golden Retriever who is available for adoption from Adopt A Golden Atlanta in Atlanta, GA.

My first family left me at an animal shelter. At least I was inside – usually I lived outside. I am still a puppy-like fellow at 13 months even though I am over 70 on the machine that tells you how big dogs are. I am a good car rider, especially if my driver lets me give kisses. I am kinda scared of new sounds but can’t help being very interested in what they are. I love it when people play with me – I haven’t had many do that. My foster says I am very smart, which is good because I need to learn about lots of things like house manners, following commands, living in a home and being part of a family. I hope the “Luck of the Irish” is with me and I’ll find my family very soon! Lots of love and thanks, Murphy

Buddy is a 7-year old male Golden Retriever who is available for adoption from Adopt A Golden Atlanta in Atlanta, GA.

Maybe I could be your “buddy” dog? What do you think? I am 7 years old and I need a new home where I can get lots of attention, go on walks and swim in the water. I do need a life jacket and someone to swim with me because I have some trouble staying on top of the water. I love water so much I even enjoy a bath! I have a little trouble with my balance and sometimes my legs are shaky. I would like a house with floors that are not slippery and no steps (unless someone is nearby to help me go up and down them). Buddy recently started heartworm treatment.
