Adoptable (Official) Georgia Dogs for October 19, 2021

Fiona is a medium-sized, young female American Staffordshire Terrier & Black Mouth Cur mix who is available for adoption from Hands to Paws Rescue in Augusta, GA.

Fiona is a sweet girl who steals the hearts of everyone she meets. This special girl needs a strong, dedicated leader who can give her the structure she needs. She is friendly with all dogs and all people. She has a lot of anxiety due to her past that comes out through high energy, so she benefits from strict structure and direction.

She is doing great in her foster home with lots of guidance and exercise. She is incredibly smart and obedient and has good door manners. She loves to run and explore but will also cuddle you and give hugs. She is good off-leash and in the house. She is an amazingly kind and loyal dog who just needs a leader to follow.

Cleatus is a male Terrier mix who is available for adoption from Hands to Paws Rescue in Augusta, GA.

Cleatus is estimated to be about 2 1/2 years old. He’s a good boy and loves people, but can be a little too much smaller children. He would love to be a lap dog even though he’s close to 55lbs. He knows how to sit and wait at doorways (on leash) and walks well on a harness. He goes to his crate when asked and doesn’t put up much of a fuss. He loves car rides and going for walks. After careful introductions, he warms up to other big dogs but he’s not good around small animals such as cats and poultry. He needs a home preferably with another doggo friend. He is heartworm positive and will be undergoing treatment

Sycamore is a young male Labrador Retriever mix who is available for adoption from Hands to Paws Rescue in Augusta, GA.

This goofy, young 1.5 year old is ready for adoption! He is a beautiful and sweet boy with spurts of boundless energy and couch potato laziness! Oh well! He deserves to be lazy as he had a rough start in life… Rescued at four months he had been hit by car with and suffered a broken hip. Veterinarian is waiting build up of strength and muscle mass before determining course of action. Rescue will take on responsibility of treatment once the best course of action is determined. Sycamore loves to play with his squirrel toy and his foster sisters Trixie and Shirley. He does best with dogs that are submissive. And due to his strength and size no children under eight.
