Adoptable (Official) Georgia Dogs for October 4, 2021

King is a young male Labrador Retriever mix puppy who is available for adoption from the Charles Smithgall Humane Society and Adoption Center in Sautee Nacoochee, GA.

Handsome King is one of just a few boys born to Georgia. He is so sweet and he seems wise beyond his age. King lives up to his name, being the largest of the puppies. At just 2 months old, he is already tipping the scales at almost 16 pounds! He has a way of looking at you that will just melt your heart. He connects really well to his people. He also loves playing and rough-housing with his siblings. He is a lot of fun. He’s also affectionate, curious and snuggly. King is a ball of good energy.

Sugar is a regal-looking female Blue Tick Coonhound who is available for adoption from the Charles Smithgall Humane Society and Adoption Center in Sautee Nacoochee, GA.

Sugar is a gorgeous purebred blue tick coonhound. She’s three years old and is one of the sweetest and most incredible dogs we know. Sugar was surrendered to us by her guardian angel, who found her wandering, starved and emaciated in extremely cold weather. Our vets have given her the all clear on her health. But her emotional state is delicate. Sugar feels comfortable around women, but it takes time for her to trust. Once she does though she clings to her people – her safety nets – for dear life. When she is relaxed and feels safe, Sugar is a dream. She’s sweet, affectionate, fun and energetic. Sugar is scared of loud noises, like gun shots and thunder. Unfortunately, Sugar does not get along with other dogs and cats so will need to be an only pet.

Olive is a female Beagle and Dachshund mix who is available for adoption from the Charles Smithgall Humane Society and Adoption Center in Sautee Nacoochee, GA.

Olive is a cutie patootie! For an eight-year-old girl, she is full of spunk and as sweet as can be. She has a super sweet personality. She loves attention. She is always smiling and has lots of tail wags for her hoomans. She has the friendliest personality. She’s a low-rider and petite. Olive loves sunning herself and going for walks. Olive doesn’t need a lot of exercise and would be a great companion for an older or less active person/family. She does well with people. She is selective on which dogs she tolerates, so we believe she would do best in a home without other pets.
