Belle is a 2-3 year old pure bred English Pointer who was given up by a plantation because they changed ownership and the new owners are changing breeds. Belle is very sweet and outgoing. The shelter has had very good success placing former plantation pointers into homes as pets as these dogs are very eager to please and love people and are good with other dogs. Belle would be great for a home looking for a more active dog to go on walks/runs and to travel with. She is smart and learns commands easily. She is good with children and dogs, untested with cats. She is up to date with shots, spayed, negative for heartworms/on prevention and crate trained. If you would like to adopt Belle, please submit an adoption application at www.myhstc.org
Monty is quite an usual looking mixed breed. From the neck up, he looks like a rottweiler. From the neck down, he looks like a basset hound. Does that make him a Bassetweiler? A Rotthound? Who knows? But this guy has personality plus. He is fun and goofy and affectionate, everyone who meets him loves him. Monty likes to go for walks and generally be where ever the people are. He loves kids and he is good with most other dogs but he has never been around cats. Monty is up to date with shots, neutered, negative for heartworms/on prevention and crate trained.
Rosie is a 7 year old pure bred red and white pit bull. She was picked up by animal control is terrible shape-she was missing most of her fur and had scabs all over her body. She had a nasty case of mange but luckily, found her way to us and has made a full recovery. A friendlier, more affectionate dog you will not find that Rosie-she is extremely loving and outgoing. She adores children and would be great for a home with kids. She is good with other dogs (untested with cats but would probably be OK). Rosie is such happy dog-she truly knows she was rescued and given a chance-we hope she will find her new forever home soon.
