Peanut (above, male Chihuahua mix) and Sarge (below, male Shetland Sheepdog and Beagle mix) are best friends who hope to be adopted together from the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia in Dalton, GA.
Sarge and Peanut, would love to remain best buddies forever. They have been with each other throughout their lives and we wouldn’t dream of separating them. Ranger is a three year old male tri-color Shelty/Beagle mix and medium in size. His partner, Peanut, is a small male blond Chihuahua mix. Both are calm, quiet and affectionate and very well behaved. They would both love to be in a new home soon. Well socialized, they are good with dogs, cats and children.
Sarge and Peanut keep each other comforted and entertained. Daily walks or time playing outside in a fenced in backyard are all the exercise they require. Balls are an obsession so keep those well stocked. They like to snuggle together for naps and sleep well through the night. If looking to adopt this perfect pair, please go to hsnwga.org to complete an online application to be preapproved. Sarge and Peanut are looking forward to meeting you!
Ricky is a handsome six month old male Labrador mix and quite a character. He came into the shelter with his best pal, Lucy. Lucy is the more outgoing of the two, and helps to make shy Ricky feel more confident. It would be nice if they could be adopted together, but not necessary.
Ricky is a very affectionate puppy once he gets to know you. He still needs some training but is eager to learn and very treat motivated. Because of his large size and energy, we feel Ricky would be most suited for a family with older children. He is a dog that requires plenty of exercise and attention. Daily walks and active play sessions will need to be part of his daily routine. A fenced in yard would help him burn off some additional energy.
Bruno is a blonde loveable Lab-mix who is very playful and loves everyone. He would make a wonderful companion for a family with older children as his energy may be too much for the little ones. This athletic two year old needs an active household where running, hiking, or outdoor games are a part of the daily routine. The exercise will keep him from boredom which can lead to mischief.
Bruno prefers not to be alone; another doggie pal would ease his anxiety and help keep him entertained at times when you are busy or away. Bruno loves to wrestle and play tag with his play group buddies at the shelter. A secure fence at least six foot tall will be required to keep him safely inside his own yard. Bruno would benefit from obedience training and would also likely enjoy agility. He already knows some basic commands and is housebroken.
