David Perdue Responds To President Obama’s Executive Amnesty Delay

Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, David Perdue, today released the following statement regarding President Obama’s recent decision to delay executive action on amnesty until after Election Day:

“President Obama’s decision to delay executive action on amnesty until after Election Day is purely political in order to protect Senate Democrats and his hand-picked candidates like Michelle Nunn. Make no mistake, the President still intends to act unilaterally and grant amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants instead of working with Congress to secure our borders and enforce current laws.

“The President’s blatant disregard for the rule of law and the powers contained in our Constitution illustrates what’s wrong with Washington and why I am running to fix this broken system. Georgians deserve a U.S. Senator who will stand up to the President when he threatens to abuse his power, not someone like Michelle Nunn who supports amnesty and will be a blank-check for President Obama and Harry Reid to advance their liberal efforts.”
