Rick Allen Announces Farmers For Rick Coalition Chair

Rick Allen Announces H.G. Yeomans as Farmers For Rick Coalition Chair.

Yeomans, of Swainsboro, endorsed Rick by saying, “I support Rick Allen because he understands the importance of a strong farming and agricultural economy. I believe Rick Allen’s conservative ideas will help lead our country back to the principles we believe in.”

Rick thanked Yeomans by saying, “The 12th District of Georgia needs someone in Washington who will stand up for its agricultural community. I am privileged to receive the endorsement of someone who has worked tirelessly and been actively involved in one of the largest industries in our district. I am looking forward to working closely with not only H.G., but all Georgia farmers.”

H.G. is a graduate of Swainsboro High School and Brewton Parker College. He was employed as a radio operator for Georgia State Patrol from 1968 – 1970. He was district manager over Georgia and South Carolina for Patz Equipment Company, a Wisconsin based dairy equipment company, from 1970 – 1976. In 1977 he became involved in the timber industry. He formed Yeomans Wood and Timber, Inc. in 1979 expanding the business over the next 30 years. Yeomans Wood and Timber purchases land and timber and is a management firm for timberland growth and reforestation. They produce over 1 million tons of pine and hardwood each year throughout middle and southeast Georgia. H.G. retired as President of Yeomans Wood & Timber in 2009 and continues to serve as Chairman of the Board.

H.G. has served on the board of Emanuel County Commissioners, Emanuel County Hospital Authority, Swainsboro/Emanuel County Development Authority, advisory board of Emanuel County Historical Society, forestry advisory board for Swainsboro Technical College, Citizens Review Panel for Transportation Investment Act and was a coach and vice president of Swainsboro Dixie Youth League. He currently serves on the board of Georgia Forestry Association, Georgia Forestry Commission, Emanuel County Duck Conservation Society, Citizens Review Panel for the Heart of Georgia Altamaha Regional Commission and is a member of Swainsboro First Baptist Church.
