Adoptable Georgia Dogs for March 7, 2014

Cricket is listed as a Doberman Pinscher mix, but in my opinion, she’s more likely a Coonhound mix. She weighs 43 pounds, a nice medium-size, and she’s just a precious girl whose super hero power is to make people fall in love with her instantly! Cricket is playful but very well behaved and smart. She knows sit, stay and lay down and is very eager to please. She is current on her vaccines, spayed and tested heartworm negative. She’ll be micro chipped upon adoption and can go home with you right away! Cricket’s ID # is 563825 and she can be found in run 81. Come meet her today! Cricket is available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter.

Jade Comp

Jade is a 14-year old mixed-breed who has won the hearts of the volunteers at the shelter.

When people think about adopting a dog, they usually look for the young, energetic, fun, happy dog. Hardly anybody would consider taking a 14-year old girl home.

So Jade here needs a MIRACLE! She had a home but judging by her rough fur and patches of no hair, she was not spoiled. But to make matters worse, her owner decided to turn her into the shelter. Can you imagine what has to go through that dogs mind? Jade is absolutely wonderful! She is patient and quiet but loves to go outside to use the bathroom. She enjoys sitting in the sun and watching her surroundings. Jade does not need much more than a bed, food and somebody to love.

Would you be willing to give her all that for whatever time she has left? She is available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter, where she is waiting in run 22 and her ID# is 563777. When adopted, she will get micro chipped and heart worm tested. Could you be the miracle that Jade is hoping for???

Right now, a 14-year old female mixed breed dog is snoring softly at my feet. There’s nothing in this world better than the love of an old dog. Her fur will heal with love, veterinary care, good food, and a warm place to sleep, and you’ll be her best friend until her last day.

If you want a Lab, but prefer a smaller size, Chopper is the guy for you – a low rider Lab mix, probably with some Basset Hound heritage.

He is very sweet and loving but confused as to where he is. He knows sit and stay and walks well on a leash. Chopper is a 2 year old, 34 pound Lab-Basset Hound, or Bassador. Chopper was surrendered to the shelter by his owner on March 1st and is currently available for adoption. His former owner reported that he is good with kids and house trained. Chopper is up to date with shots and already neutered. He will be heartworm tested and micro-chipped upon adoption. Chopper is at the Cobb County Animal Shelter, where he waits for you in cage 202 and his ID is 563917.
