State Rep. Josh Clark, R-Buford, will step down after two terms in office.
Clark announced Friday that he will not seek re-election on this year’s ballot.
“It is with much prayer, consideration and a heavy heart that I announce I will not be seeking re-election for a third term,” Clark said. “Being given the opportunity of serving my community in the Georgia House of Representatives has been one of the most meaningful privileges of my life. I want to thank each of my constituents who have granted me the privilege of representing them.”
Clark has taken an executive position with NeoLife, an international nutritional company. In addition to his real estate company, Clark has been an active distributor for the company, dating back to the age of 18.
“I’ve always been passionate about their products ever since they drastically turned my mother’s health around 20 years ago,” he said. “After much prayer I have come to the conclusion that accepting this position is the right move for my family, my personal growth and will allow me to contribute to the growth of NeoLife.
“Regardless of where my path takes me, my heart will always be here in this community where I grew up and have had the privilege of raising our family,” said Clark, a father of five. “You can be assured that even though I’m stepping away from public office, for at least a season, I will remain passionately committed to our community. Thank you again for believing in me and allowing me the privilege of serving you.”
