Outgoing mayor, chief to become private detectives – Times-Georgian: News

When they officially leave office New Year’s Day, Temple Mayor Rick Ford and the city’s police chief, Tim Shaw, plan to start a private investigation company.

Ford served two terms as mayor starting in 2005 but did not seek re-election this year. The day after Lester Harmon beat Todd Rothwell to replace Ford as mayor of the city, Shaw turned in his resignation, effective Dec. 31.

Both said they’ve been talking about starting the company, which will be called Georgia Investigative Services, LLC, for some time.
