Cherokee Tribune – Cherokee resident running to replace Sen Loudermilk

CANTON — A former corporal with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office has announced her plans to run for the District 14 state Senate seat being vacated by Barry Loudermilk (R-Cassville).

Nicole Ebbeskotte, 42, of Woodstock, said Tuesday morning that she plans to sign on for the race for the seat when qualifying opens Monday.

She joins the race for the open seat with announced candidates Dwight Pullen, 53, of Canton, Matt Laughridge, 25, of Cartersville and Bruce Thompson, 48, of White.

The district has about 58,000 registered voters in Cherokee County, 30,000 in Bartow and about 12,000 in Cobb County.
