State Senator Buddy Carter on Savannah Harbor Deepening Project

via Press Release:

(Savannah) — “The success of Savannah’s Harbor Deepening is a direct result of Georgia making this vital development project a top priority,” says Senator Buddy Carter.

Georgia’s coastal delegation and Governor Nathan Deal have worked hard to bring $231 million dollars to make the deepening of Savannah’s harbor a reality, eventually leading to congressional approval of the project.

“The project is vital to economic development in this region. From Georgia’s farmers to businessman, to construction workers and import and export traders, this project has real economic impact on everyone in Georgia,” said Senator Carter.

As a member of the Georgia State House, and then as a member of the Georgia State Senate, Senator Carter strongly supported this critical economic development project.

“Now more than ever, we need a congressman who is knowledgeable and committed to continuing Jack Kingston’s great work for harbor deepening. It is essential to our coastal community that we have a congressman who is knowledgable about these issue and will continue the fight.”

Buddy Carter is a Republican Georgia State Senator who represents the Savannah region including Bryan County and portions of Chatham and Liberty counties.
