State Rep. Donna Sheldon, the Dacula woman who is running for Congress, raised $210,000 for next year’s campaign, and she has $175,000 on hand.
“In this economy, the generosity of Georgians has been overwhelming and I am deeply grateful for all of this support,” Sheldon said. “We will clearly have the resources we need to get the campaign’s message out but this also shows a level of grassroots backing that is really encouraging.”
Chuck Efstration, who is seeking Sheldon’s state House seat, also announced a successful start to fundraising. On his first campaign disclosure report, he reported $22,650 cash on hand since entering the race in April.
“I am humbled by the outpouring of support I have received since announcing for my campaign for State House,” said Efstration, a former assistant district attorney who now has a private practice. “It is an honor to have so many people get behind the campaign so early in the process. This cash on hand is a testament to the growing momentum of the campaign. The people of District 104 want a conservative champion that will deliver bold, new ideas for our future.
