The Transportation Investment Act of 2010 provides the opportunity for the Atlanta Region to vote as a region for the first time.

This vote, the Regional Transportation Referendum, on July 31, 2012 allows residents
to vote on a penny sales tax to leverage approximately $8.5 billion to support
transportation improvements throughout the region. As a convener on important topics affecting growth and development, the Council for Quality Growth and ULI Atlanta have partnered to present an educational forum on the referendum.

The keynote address will be given by The Honorable John Mica, Chairman, House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Congressman Mica will be joined by regional leaders to offer perspective on the referendum.
