Mollie is a friendly 6-year old female Pointer mix who gets along well with kids and other dogs, and she walks very well on a leash. She is available for adoption from Barrow County Animal Shelter in Winder, Ga.
Coastal Pet Rescue in Savannah, whose dogs I featured yesterday, is raising money to wipe out more than $13,000 in vet bills, much of which was incurred when they took in a litter of puppies who broke with parvo and required emergency treatment. You can donate online to help them out or buy one of their t-shirts.
Finally, Coastal Pet Rescue is holding a “Survivor”-style fundraiser in conjunction with the opening of their new small animal center. The fundraiser will be from 12 PM on Saturday, May 2nd to 12 PM on May 3rd at their Camp Pawsawhile Retreat in Savannah. There will be “challenges,” some team, some individuals. They plan to start with 14 contestants and be down to 7 people by the evening who will have to raise funds (we will have online pages for donations) through social media or phone in order to avoid having to spend the night in one of the dog kennels (we have 7 runs as part of the shelter).
Let me know by email if you’d be interested in participating as part of a GaPundit team in this event.
