Adoptable Georgia Dogs for June 16, 2014

Sweetie

Sweetie is a Female Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) mix; 2-3 years old; Fully Vetted/spayed; 45 lbs.; Heart worm (+) on the Direct Test, not tested on the Occult Test.

It is obvious why the shelter staff gave this loving girl her name. Sweetie is very affectionate and loves nothing more than to be cuddled! She walks well on a leash and is a favorite of our volunteer dog walkers. Sweetie is available for adoption from McIntosh County Animal Shelter in Darien, Ga. Call Jennifer Wrenn, MCAS Shelter Director, at 912-437-4242 for additional information on Sweetie.

Dakota

Dakota is a Female Shepherd mix; 35-40 lbs., 10 months old; fully vetted/spayed; and HEARTWORM NEGATIVE.

Dakota is a Special Needs dog because she is extremely timid. Despite the fact she’s been in our shelter for almost nine months, her socialization progress is unusually slow. She came into MCAS as a Stray Pickup on the first day of September, 2013, with four sisters, and she is the only pup who has not yet found her forever home. The litter had obviously had little to no human interaction and of the five girls, Dakota has been the most difficult to overcome her lack of socialization. She has come a long way but is still not truly confident when she’s taken out for exercise by HART’s faithful volunteer dog walkers.

Dakota is available for adoption from HART of McIntosh County (Humane Animal Resource Team) in Darien, GA.

Yvette

Yvette is a female Hound mix, about 51 pounds and a little over a year old. She is fully vaccinated, Yvette unfortunately tested Heartworm positive, but has been on the slow kill method since 9/27/13. She is a beautiful girl with lots of personality. She loves to run and play, is very high energy and is learning to walk on a leash. Yvette is available for adoption from HART of McIntosh County (Humane Animal Resource Team) in Darien, GA.
