via Press Release:

Mary Helen Moses to run for Superior Court Judge in Brunswick Judicial Circuit

Mary Helen Moses, a law professor at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia and a practicing lawyer with litigation and mediation expertise, has announced her candidacy for Judge of Superior Court in the Brunswick Judicial Circuit.  The non-partisan election will be on May 20, 2014, with early voting starting on April 28, 2014.  The Brunswick Judicial Circuit includes Appling, Camden, Glynn, Jeff Davis and Wayne counties.

Born in Atlanta in 1953, Mary Helen’s roots are in south Georgia.  After graduating from Lakeside High School in Atlanta, Mary Helen received her B.A. from Furman University in 1975 and her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1978.  While working full time for the federal government, Mary Helen went to Georgetown University Law Center in the evenings, and earned a Masters of Laws (LL.M.) in 1981.

Mary Helen’s broad career has exposed her to courts and agencies all over the United States, and she has learned that the justice system must be administered in a transparent, professional, and trustworthy fashion.

My background and experience uniquely qualify me to plan and participate in the improvements necessary to ensure that the justice system in the Brunswick Judicial Circuit is open, honest, impartial and efficient.  Most importantly, I have the energy, the drive, the passion and the will to follow through to make these changes a reality.
